Life

Well I have to that life has definately thrown us some curve balls lately. I have made some great new friends, my co-worker Lindsey and her husband Brian. They are a great couple and we love spending time with them. We have been playing the market trying to sell our house and buy another....it is taking it's sweet time. It's so hard to wait! We had an offer on a house that was being built, and we were really excited about it...even though it was a little out of our price range. We decided we'd stretch ourselves financially and go for it. We got to pick the colors and everything. Well, our house just wouldn't sell. Finally the seller accepted another offer and we were back at square one. We were already frustrated because of our house not selling, and this news did not help!
Selling a house is not easy! You have to basically pack up 3/4th of it and live with very little of your stuff. AND you have to keep it spotless all the time. No more drunken nights and sleeping in until 2 the next day with passed out drunk friends and assorted cards, bottles, and glasses strewn across the house. Now you have to clean it up in your drunken stooper, or wake up early the next morning to take care of it...JUST IN CASE someone calls and wants to stop by. UGH! Lucky for me I married and wonderful man, and he has pulled MORE than his weight keeping the place clean!
So, in the midst of dealing with all this, my job starts making big changes. I had my review in early February and my boss told me they were re-arranging some departments, and that my responsibilties could be changing. Or even better, it could go away but they'll try to place me somewhere. Thats what everyone wants to hear from thier boss. I got a GREAT review though...and they really don't want to lose me, but of course all this is coming from corporate! Well, last Friday my boss called me into his office and told me that they needed me to fill in at the Woodburn office for a while. Probably 3 months. Great, now I get to commute to Woodburn everyday to do strictly AP, which is the least favorite part of my job!
What do you do? I'm sticking it out for now, trusting God. Lindsey is going through the same thing so it's nice to have someone who really understands go through it with me. And as always, Travis has been to supportive and understanding. It's so comforting to know that we are on this windy path of life together!

House Selling

House buying is a fun experience, especially when you know exactly what you're looking for and how much money you can comfortably spend on a place. I can't think of anything more exhilirating than buying a new piece of property and thinking about all the possibilities. But after that first house, you have to SELL to buy that next one (most of the time), and that is truly where hell and earth collide.

We're having some guy from Portland come down to take a look at our house today at about 11am. Hopefully all will go well and he'll be interested in buying it, I'm pretty much sick and tired of having to clean this house non-stop, 24/7 and cater to the demands of a bunch of realtors. Anyways, wish us luck you hundreds of Clark Game fans, we're countin on your thoughts and prayers to get this place sold!

Entry, Captains Log...

This first post is probably not going to be much to look at. I know we have interesting lives that we live, (all of us) at least I hope they are because otherwise, we're just fresh outta luck. If you happen to look at this blog I hope you enjoy the random thoughts I will occasionally write here. Probably not too often but these are nuggets of grandeur, believe me. Hold on tight, get ready for the ride of a lifetime. It's the CLARK GAME.
