Moving in!

It's been awhile since our last post because we don't have the internet right now. The last few weeks have been so so crazy! We moved out of our house on Friday the 13th (creepy) and moved in with my best friend Erika. We lived with her until the 22nd, when we got the keys to our new house!! It was so exciting finally getting to move it and have the house be ours! We were ready to have a home again!!
So Sunday the 22nd we went and checked it out...it was the first time we got to see it empty. We also got to get the kitties out of the cat hotel they had been staying in for the past 11 days! They were pretty freaked out, but they are doing much better now! So we brought the kitties to the house and hung out there until about 9. We had all our family and friends come over to check it out.
We moved our stuff from Erikas over on Monday, and have been staying there ever since. We haven't moved much in, because we are updating the place like crazy! We are scraping the popcorn off the ceiling, taking the wallpaper off the walls, taking the carpet and vinyl out, taking the basboards off, texturing the ceiling, getting new wood floors and carpet, and re-painting every room!! It has been fun, lots of work, and challenging, but it is so nice making it our own!! We have been to Home Depot SEVERL times, and I'm sure there will be several more trips to come!
Tomorrow, we are moving everything from our storage unit into our garage. We can't move anything into the hosue yet, because the flooring won't be in until the 8th or 9th!
Oh, we also picked out our new fridge! We really like it! It is one of those freezer on the bottom fridges!! Yay!
WHile all this has been going on, work has been an exceptionally large challenge as well. I found out I am permanatly in Woodburn now, and I have taken on more work than I can handle! Plus, the extra commute time hasn't been super fun when I staying up late every night working on the house!!
It just makes me so grateful for my wonderful husband Travis...he is enjoying his job and career choice and I am very glad for that!! He even gets up early with me and goes to work early so he can get off early and start working on the house!
Well, I've babbled enough for now! Back to the house!!

The game

Life truely is a game. It is moving so quickly right now! Christina Agrulra has a song about life...she calls it a "show" in this song...and I love to listen to it because it talks about how this is the greatest show on earth we'll ever see or experience. It talks about how everyone wears a mask thorugh life, and so many people let you down, but there are the few who are there through everything. My favorite line in teh song is where she asks "Is it all blue skys?" The answer, obviously, is no....there are lots of times in life where it's not fun, but what fun would life be if there were never any hard times to look back on? I think we need those experiences to keep us understanding and appreciating the GREAT ones!
Anywaym life is extra crazy right now. Someone bought our house, and we have to be out by the 13th. SO all we have done for teh past 2 weeks is move things into our storage unit, because don't get our new house until the 24th! And then we can start moving things out of the storage unit into the garage, but we have LOTS of updating (painting, carpeting, vinyl, etc) to do before we can actually move in! So we are "homeless" for 2 weeks. My best friend Erika is letting us stay with her! Bless her heart. We have to put our 3 cats up in a cat hotel. They are going to hate that! They all have to get updated shots to stay there....so by te end of the 2 weeks those cats are gonig to set us back about $500! We love them though, they are worth it!!
Work for me has stil been crazy! I sure am glad Trav's job is stable and he likes it so much....because lately tehre are many days I question mine. Basically I'm trying to do 2 jobs, in 2 locations, and move and I'm about to lose it! If things at work are still crazy liek this once we are settled into our new home, I will probably start the job search. I hate the job search!! So much time and effort! Especially at this time in my life...because in a couple years I want to start a family and stay home with the kids until they are in 1st grade! So all this job searching and interviews, etc for me to be there for 1 or 2 years?? Seems like such a waste. Hopefully my job will just settle down in the next month or so. Well, Trav is home from moving a load over to the storage unit. We only have a couple boxes left to pack and move over!!! I can't wait!!
