My baby

What a weekend. Friday as I was pulling my car into the garage I accidentally ran over my kitty, Kayden's tail. At first we didn't know what I ran over, and Friday night was excruciating. He just laid on the floor sleeping and looking so uncomfortable. Trav and I were afraid he could have internal bleeding and we were so afraid he might die. I can't imagine my life without him. He really is my baby. He comforts me when I'm sad, he cheers me up everyday. He sits on my lap when I get home from work and helps me relax and unwind from my day...he is just such a sweetheart.
At 7 in the morning we decided we should take him to the vet to get checked out. We took him in right at 9 when they opened. The vet checked him out and discovered that his tail was broken. What must have happened is I ran over his tail and he freaked out and tried to take off running when his tail was still under the wheel. He broke it right at the part it connects to his back. Poor baby. They also took xrays of him to make sure nothing else was wrong.....and found he has a broken pelvis also. He must have really took off. So he is on all sorts of good kitty "vicaden" and he is already doing better. I am just so happy that he is alive and going to be ok! There is nothing they can do to fix his tail though, they have to amputate it. I am very sad about that. I love his tail. But he is going to be a gorgeous bob-cat and he is still himself which is all that matters!
What a bummer though! I still can't really believe it happened. I would do anything to go back in time and stop it.

What a wonderful Christmas!

It's hard to believe that 5 days off is already over and it's back to work!
Friday evening was a blast! I got dressed up in my angel outfit and started in on my Raspberry Red Bull and vodkas! Lacee and Hunter arrived a little after 8 and we gave them the grand tour since they had never seen the house before. They seemed to really like it! They loved having their own room! We finished getting ready and headed to the party at about 9:30. Everyone at the party was dressed so cute! Well, all the girls! The boys were all dressed in nice slacks and nice collared shirts....some ever had a tie on. It's nice to see the boys dressed up! We hung out there until about 11 when the party moved to Lucky Larry's. We lasted there for about an hour before getting tired of the cigarette smoke and heading home. It was really good to see Rachelle again! She is such a sweetie and always fun to hang out with.
On our way home we stopped at a little sports bar a couple blocks from my house. Our friend K was supposed to be there so we were going to go pick on him. We walked in feeling pretty stupid since Lacee and I were still in our costumes. We didn't see K, so we turned around to walk out when I head someone call my name. I looked up to see my boss and his wife and friends at a table. I felt like a pretty big dork in my costume, but reluctantly we all went over to say hello. They poured us some beers and we talked for a while. K was there, he was just in a different room so he came out and we ended up going into that room and playing darts with he and his friends!
Saturday we slept in and RELAXED! We went to my parents in the evening and had some dinner with them! Sunday we slept in again and Trav took me out to dinner that evening and drove me around to see the Christmas lights in Corvallis. It was fun!
Monday we got up, got ready, and loaded up the car with all the gifts and a nights change of clothes, and were on our way to my parents for Christmas Eve dinner! We ate a huge WONDERFUL turkey dinner with all the fixins! I stuffed myself!!After dinner we opened a gift from dad, and then headed to a Christmas program in Salem. After the program we went to see the Keizer lights show! It is so neat how that whole area decorates their homes for Christmas! When we got home we opened our Christmas Eve present, which is always jammies that we sleep in that night and wake up and open our presents in the next morning!! Mine were really cute pink ones with snowflakes!
Christmas morning I woke up with a little bit of a sore throat, but I ignored it because it was CHRISTMAS!! We had breakfast and then went to the tree and passed out the gifts! We all had fun opening our gifts and everyone had a good amount of surprises! Trav and I got some new clothes, a gift card for a Wii from my parents, and a gift card to Fred Meyer from my brother. We got lots of little goodies also! Joel really seemed to like the v-rocker we got him, my dad loved his slippers and cds, and my mom was thrilled with her new computer chair and cd player! We headed to Travs parents after getting ready. Now my throat was bothering me quite a bit and my body was starting to feel run down. I rested on the couch and read a magazine until dinner was ready, tried to rest my throat! Dinner we delicious! Prime rib, mashed red potatoes, and green beans!! After dinner we visited with everyone until about 5. Then Trav and I headed to our house to get me some dayquil so I could enjoy the evening festivities! We met back up at my parents for dessert, but this time Lacee and Hunter joined us! We ate dessert, drank our drinks, and played Apples to Apples, talking and laughing until after 11!! It was so much fun! Everyone really enjoyed themselves!
We slept in again on Wednesday, and I woke up feeling REALLY bad. Trav took care of me, but we also managed to put away our Christmas decorations and get the house cleaned and back in regular order! I don't like to leave the Christmas decorations up after Christmas because it just reminds me that it's over. It's so sad when it's over!
Today it is back to work! Not to bad since it's Thursday! A 2 day work week isn't to bad though! And then another 4 days off! Thats how it should be!!Have a Happy New Year!! :)

Happy Holidays!

It's hard to believe it is almost the end of 2007! 2007 was a very eventful and memorable year. It started out with Trav 4 months into his job at the Democrat Herald, and me back at the Landfill for about a year. We were in the middle of trying to sell our cute little one bedroom house at 620 SW 14th Ave. We had outgrown the one bedroom and it was time to find something bigger. It went on the market at the end of Thanksgiving and we hadn't had much interest so far. In March we finally got an acceptable offer! We got it a couple days before we went on a vacation to Orange County CA to stay with Lacee. We had a great time on vacation but in the back of our minds we were thinking about the house, and all the inspections going alright, and finding a NEW house!
We got back on a Wednesday, and we back to work on Thursday. Thursday my boss called me into his office to let me know I was temporarily being transferred to the Woodburn office. WHAT?!?! Lindsey was also being transferred, so we were grateful to have someone to go through it with, and to carpool with! In the midst of the transfer and learning the AP for 4 new divisions, we had several house meetings....to look for a new one and to go over the inspections on the old one. There was one problem, it needed a new roof and we had to put it on. Ouch.
We found our house at the beginning of April and made an offer. We got it!! Now we had to wait for all THOSE inspections to go through! It needed a lot of "updating" but it was perfect for what Trav and I need for the next several years and right in our price range!
We closed on the 620 house on April 13th. We had to take our 3 cats to a cat hotel, and Air let us live with her until the new house was ours.
April 20th I found out the transfer to Woodburn was permanent. Horrible news!
We closed on the new house April 24th!! We slept on an air mattress for 2 weeks while we scraped the ceilings, wall paper off the walls, took carpet out, textured and painted! Our new floors went in May 8th! We were able to move our furniture that weekend!
The job search began! Every evening was now spent on the computer looking for and applying for jobs! Driving an hour each way to a job I hated was not acceptable to me.
I accepted my job as an office manager June 5th....also my birthday! It was very sad to leave all the people I had grown so close to at the Landfill, but leaving Woodburn didn't sting at all!
I started my new job in Albany on June 18th!
Trav and I continued to work on our house to turn it into our home!
We have continued to be busy almost every day! We have been on a strict "debt diet" to pay off our debt, but we are starting to see relief in early 08!

This weekend and next week will be very busy! Tomorrow my cousin Lacee and her BF Hunter will be here from CA! We are all going to a Christmas Costume party thrown by my friend Rachelle who is visiting from AZ where she is going to school! Saturday and Sunday will be filled with family and holiday activities! Monday is Christmas Eve and we are spending the day with my family....having our Christmas dinner, and going to look at the Keizer light show, along with our regular Christmas Eve activities! Christmas day we will wake up at my parents and open presents!! Then we are heading to Travs parents to have Christmas lunch (prime rib!) and do Christmas with them! Then we're headed back to my parents for dessert, drinks and games with the fam and Lacee and Hunter!! I am looking forward to all the festivities and to a new year!!
Happy Holidays!!

1 week till Christmas!!

Trav and I had a wonderful weekend! We have both been fighting getting a cold for the past week, so we were feeling pretty run down Friday afternoon when we got home from work. We had some dinner, and then cuddled up on the couch and watched "It's a Wonderful Life". We went to bed at about 11pm that night!! That is defiantly NOT our normal Friday night schedule. But it helped! We slept in and were both feeling quite a bit better Saturday morning!!
Saturday we slept in, and then got up and took care of all our chores and errands. We got done at about 5 and I was feeling worn out again so I took a little nap before our Christmas Dinner with Air and K. We have started a new tradition to always go to a nice dinner together to celebrate Christmas together....since we are with family on actual Christmas! This year we tried Allasandro's in Salem. It was wonderful! We will be back! They had live piano, and candles on the tables, and the food was very good. We headed back to the house and talked for a couple hours before we headed to bed at midnight! Not our normal Saturday night either!
But, all the extra rest really helped us feel better. I'm hoping we can beat this.....I don't want to be sick on my 5 days off for Christmas!
Sunday we woke up at 10, but laid in bed and talked until 11. We finally got up and got ready to head to my parents! My mom and I made Christmas Chocolate covered cherries and mints, and I made a cake for my brothers bday! I also worked on my angel wings for the Christmas costume party this weekend.
We headed to the Christmas Program at the Assembly at 2:30. It was a wonderful program! They do a great job every year! We got home at 5 and had some dinner and some birthday cake for dessert! Then we opened our stockings for St. Nicks night and mom and I decorated her tree!! It was a great day! Very festive and fun time spent with family!
Now it's back to work for a week....one week until 5 days off! I am so ready for some time off! I'm going to try to plow through Monday, my least favorite day of the week! Have a great week!!

VACATION TIME!!

I am SO excited right now. I have been so busy that I haven't blogged for a little while! I don't like getting behind!
We had a wonderful, Christmasy weekend. Friday my dad's play was hilarious, Saturday we had a great time shopping....I got lots of good stuff for myself and finished my Christmas shopping! Then we got to watch the Christmas parade!
That evening we drank and talked with friends! Sunday we slept in and had a lazy day watching Christmas movies, and of course getting all our chores done!
Trav's dad went in for surgery Monday morning. Travis spent the day at the hospital with his family. His dad is doing MUCH better now. He said the pain he was having daily is gone. Now his only pain is where the incision was made. That will heal though. He should be getting out of the hospital very soon!
I have been having a very busy holiday season! I have been taking off work early so I can go help my mom since she is so busy with Christmas baskets! It has been really fun, but keeping me busy!!
This weekend Trav's co-worker is having a Christmas party on Friday night we are going to. Saturday we are doing our chores and then going to Allesandro's in Salem for a nice Christmas Dinner with Air and K! It's going to be a lot of fun! Sunday we are celebrating my little brothers bday, going to a "Celebrate Christmas" program at the Assembly, and doing St. Nicks night that evening! I am really looking forward to it!
So Trav and I have been talking about a vacation for MONTHS. We've been saving for this one extra long because originally we were going to go on a cruise, which cost more than our normal annual vacation budget. Since then, the cruise fell through, so we were trying to think of something GREAT that cost a little more than normal. We finally settled on and booked an all-inclusive resort on the Riviera Maya, which is about 45 miles from Cancun. It is a BEAUTIFUL resort right on the beach. It has 7 restaurants and 10 bars, including 2 swim up pool bars. All the food, drinks, and water activities are included in the price so we don't have to worry about a thing! We can have steak and crab along with expensive cocktails every night if we want! I am really excited to go! I could go off about it for pages, so I'll save some for another post when I am feeling excited about it again!
Well, thats all for now. I'm going to finish up my work here and head over to moms! Have a great weekend!

Christmas-time!!

Beavers won the civil war!!! GO Beavs! The first time we've won at Atzen Stadium since 93!! And we won in double overtime. What a game!! As you can tell, I was super excited about our win!
Friday I left early to go to the dentist for a cleaning. I love getting my teeth cleaned! I do need to floss more though, I can tell. And I think I'm going to start using mouth wash. Also, my dentist recommended that I get my top 2 wisdom teeth out. They are barely sticking out of my gums and they are hard to clean so she said they can decay pretty easily. So now I have that to think about! I am terrified of getting them out, especially if they aren't putting me under, which they wouldn't be for this procedure!
Anyway, Trav and I had a "romantic" night that night. We went out to dinner, then did a little shopping, since I had 2 $10 coupons burning a hole in my pocket. I got some cute shoes and a cute sweater and Trav got a nice new thermal. We also got a cool massager thing. All for only $30!! After shopping we went home and watched movies and snuggled up on the couch. It was so stormy out that night! It's nice watching the storm out the window while being snuggled up inside!! We went to bed at about 11:30. We were both really pooped from the week!
We slept in on Saturday, and didn't get going until about 11. We got ready and were out of the house by noon. We had a few things to do. We had to go to Corvallis to pick up his dads truck, and visit with his dad for a while. His dad is having surgery on the 10th, but all the time he's been waiting for it, he had just been miserable and company helps. So we stopped taco bell to grab some lunch, and then went to Trav parents. We visited for about an hour, but his dad was on some paid meds and they made him pretty out of it.
So we headed off to get our tree! We've been going to a tree farm in Lewisburg for the past several years. It was slimmer than normal pickings this year, but we found a great one, sawed it down, loaded it up, and brought it home! We wanted to get it into the tree stand before we returned the truck and visited with his dad more, so we did that, which took a little while. We headed back to Corvallis at about 2:30, and watched the game with his dad. Go Beavs!
After the game we headed home, had some dinner, and worked on situating the living room around the tree. We were pretty pooped and had plans with Air and K that evening, so we decided we'd decorate everything on Sunday.
We drank wine at Air's.....I drank to much. I had fun, but I ended up sick. I rarely get sick. I woke up sick to. Really sick. I had a migraine, and I was nauseous. We went home and started getting out the decorations, and I had to lay down. Travis lit a few candles, put Christmas music on and wrapped me in a blanket while he worked on the laundry. I napped for a couple hours, until I finally felt well enough to stand!
Then the decorating began! It was so much fun pulling out all the decorations. I get a few more every year and I always forget about some of them so it's a surprise every year!! We put the lights on, then the garland, then all the ornament's! We were just putting the finishing touches on, and realized we were missing the tree topper. Trav was headed out to the garage to find it and I turned to looked at him when I heard a snap and turned back toward the tree as is crashed into me!! The tree seriously just fell right on top of me. We're lucky I was standing there, or it would have fallen on the floor and we would have had to re-do the whole thing! Anyway, for the next hour I held the tree while Trav worked on securing it at the bottom!! We finally got it all figured out and finished it up! I'll try to describe it. It is 7.5 feet tall, in the corner of the living room. It is very wide, so it takes up the whole corner! The tree topper is an angel. It is decorated in white lights, silver garland, purple and silver bulbs, and several other cute ornament's we've collected through the years. We got a new tree shirt, which is a rich royal purple velvet with silver leaves along the end and silver sequence. We were very happy with how it all turned out!
We finished the evening with grocery shopping and watching Desperate Housewives! (And gazing at our tree...hehe) 'Tis the season!

The holidays are in full swing!

Random Things:
I have found that I love jalapenos! Strange I know, but I like them a lot....on pretty much everything!
My job is going well. I am learning the "last part" the drivers papers. It's actually pretty fun to do! I am still learning, but I feel like I am getting a good handle on it! Then I will really know pretty much everything about this office! It's a great feeling to know what is going on! I know the summer will be SUPER busy with adding drivers papers to the work I already do, but I think it's doable. And the more familiar I get with everything, the faster I will get!
I noticed I don't blog about work much anymore, but I am sure that is a good thing. If I was blogging about it, I would more than likely be blogging about all the things I hate about it!
Travis has been continuing to do a spectacular job at his work. He really enjoys it and they really enjoy having him. He is always impressing everyone! I love the way he can just think through a situation so quickly and find a solution. He is going to go so far! He is working on getting 3 sites ready to launch in a brand new format that he designed. It's not public yet, but he shows me all that he's done and it is amazing! I am so proud of him.
We are doing very well. We have really been enjoying each other and the new house and where were are in our lives right now. I feel like we are finding our groove in life! It's so great to be married to your best friend! We have had so much fun over the years and there is so much more to come. It's fun working through life's problems together and finding our own solutions!
Speaking of fun, it's almost December, which is by far, one of my very favorite months! I LOVE Christmas....the cold air, all the crazy shoppers, the decorations, the music, the sales, the lights, the programs, the trees....it's so festive! Trav and I are going to pick out and cut down our tree tomorrow and then we're going to decorate the house! I am really looking forward to it!
Well, I am leaving work at 4 today because I have to go to the dentist. I like getting my teeth cleaned, because I like them being clean, and getting checked and all that good stuff, but I don't like the actual cleaning part. It will be nice to have it out of the way though. And then the weekend officially begins! Trav and I are going to dinner at a place we haven't tried yet tonight. We haven't even picked where we're going yet, but it's going to be fun!
Well, I'm going to get back to work.... 2.5 hours to go! Have a great weekend and a happy December!!

Thanksgiving dinner....a success!

The long weekend is over! It's so hard to get back into the groove! I want more time off!! :) But it was a great weekend! We were VERY busy, so it flew by even faster than normal!
Wednesday evening we cooked and cleaned!! We even got off work at 2, and we were still cleaning until after 10!!! But we got it done!! We had a small panic attack
with the turkey…..we took it out of the fridge on Wednesday at about 8 just to make sure it was thawed…and it WASN"T! It was still frozen on the bottom! So we put it in cold water so we could at least work the neck out and the giblets. By the way, turkeys are really gross!
Anyway, we left it in the water until we went to bed at midnight. It was almost thawed when we went to bed, so we figured by morning it would be ok.
We woke up at 8:30 on Thursday to get the turkey in the bag, and into the oven!! Once we got it into the oven, we showered and got ready.
Then we basically just had to sit and wait until 11 before we could really start preparing the rest of the food. That was probably the worst part!
We got started on the mashed potatoes, green salad, and everything else at 11:30, and my parents showed up at 12:30. My mom brought
lots of goodies and a couple gifts!! Things started getting hectic after they arrived! It was fun, but a little overwhelming!
We got all the food prepared and into the oven right when Trav's parents and grandfather arrived at 1:30!
We broke out the appetizers and the wine and chatted while the food finished cooking! Everything was ready right at 2, so we loaded all the food onto our buffet table and
finally sat down at the table!! It felt good to sit and I was starving! I had been smelling the yummy food cooking since about 10, so I was ready to eat!
We talked and ate for an hour and 1/2! Later we cleaned up and then sat down for dessert! The Clarks left a little after 5pm.
My parents stayed and we watched a movie until about 9. All in all, I'd say it was a successful Thanksgiving dinner!!
After all the company left, I looked over the ads for the day after Thanksgiving sales! Air and I strategized a plan of attack, and I set my alarm for 3:45 to get up and start the shopping!!
I didn't get much sleep that night because I wasn't tired until 11! I rolled out of bed at about 4, threw on some clothes, and was ready right when Air pulled up.
We got to Dutch Bros for coffee at 4:20, and to Gottschalks at 4:40 where we stood in the 28 degree weather waiting for the doors to open at 5!! From then on it was a madhouse of shopping and standing in long lines to get all the deals from 5 - 10am!!
At 10 we went to the house to pick the boys up and head to Salem. We didn't finish shopping until 3!! My feet were VERY sore!
We got lots of good deals though, and had a great time! We finished off the day with a nice meal from The Olive Garden! Yummy!
Trav and I headed home and watched a couple movies before turning in at midnight!
Saturday we slept in until 11, when we got up and headed to my parents house. I helped my mom at the shop until 3, then we all headed to the Willamette Valley Vineyards
for a wine tasting they were having. We had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful view from the tower there!! We enjoyed almost all the wines, and Trav bought me a bottle of a delicious white!!
We headed home at about 6:30, and got ready to meet up with Monika! We hung out and talked until a little after 2, when I finally turned in for the evening!!
Sunday we slept in until noon and started right in on the chores!! We had a lot to do, since we hadn't done much since company left on Thursday!
I have been enjoying turkey, cream cheese and cranberry sandwiches, and mashed potato patties! And rolls! Yum!
Oh, and I have been LOVING all the Christmas music! The season is here! This weekend Trav and I are going to pick out and cut down our tree! Then we will decorate it and get the house and Chirstmas'd out!!

Turkey day is coming

It's already Tuesday afternoon! Only 2 days until Thanksgiving! I can't believe how quickly it is coming! I'm getting pretty excited with all the last minute details for having Thanksgiving at the house this year! The Turkey is thawing in the fridge and I have purchased all the ingredients to make the meal! Now I just have to wait for the day to come so I can get to work!!
Tomorrow evening it starts! We are cleaning the house and getting all the appetizers ready tomorrow!
Today Trav and I went to the DMV to turn in our passport applications. It makes our trip seems so much more real now that we've done that! We are planning on booking the trip this weekend. We are booking a trip to the Caribbean at an all-inclusive resort! It's going to be so nice! Now we just have to pick where we want to go and which resort we want to stay at.
Passports are no cheap thing either! Man, $250 down the drain that fast! Oh well! I'm sure we will use them a few times in the next 10 years! I hope so anyway.
Last night we were watching some sit-coms on TV, and all the shows were having their Thanksgivings. The girls were wearing the cutest little holiday outfits, so I begged Travis to go with me to find one! I found 3 really cute ones! I can't wait to wear them over the holidays! And it made me so much more excited to go shopping at the day after thanksgiving sales!
Well, it's almost time to go, so I need to finish my work! Tonight we are going to Air's for fajitas! Yummy! Have a great Thanksgiving!!!

Air's Bday!!!

Last weekend was a blast!
Friday Trav and I got off work at 2, so we could leave a little early to celebrate our anniversary! We met at the house and just hung out for a little while, before heading to Corvallis.
Our first stop was the High School. We walked around the campus and reminisced. It was really fun. Just being there brought back so many memories!! We even went to the spot where he asked me out. The campus has changed a lot over the past 7 years! It was hard to believe that we haven't been there for that long!
We left for Dairy Queen at 4:30, and shared a chicken strip basket, cheeseburger, and blizzard....just like we did on our first date!
Then we took a walk down to the majestic theatre where Travy gave me my first kiss.
We headed back to the car at that point and drove through the beautiful neighborhoods in the hills of Corvallis for about an hour. It was so much fun! The neighborhoods are so beautiful, but even more than that the memories that come along with it for us makes it truly special! We used to drive out in the hills almost every day!
We finally headed home at about 7, and snuggled up on the couch with some movies.

Saturday we slept in, and when we got up we headed to the gym. Afterwards we got ready for Air's bday dinner! Air and K showed up at our house at 3:30 and Air opened her gift from me and we celebrated with a glass of champagne.
We headed to Roadhouse at 4. Dinner was delicious!! Airs parents even picked up the tab, which was completely unexpected and very nice! Air and I had strawberry lemonades with vodka in them and they came in huge mason jars! By the end of that drink I was already having to much fun!!
At about 6:30 we headed home and made it to the liquor store just in time! We bought all the goodies we needed for the evening and headed to Airs! We made jello shots and put them in the fridge to set, and made ourselves some drinks. We started playing the drinking game, crazy eights, at about 8. By 10, everyone was feeling really good! Air had a few work friends come by at 10, and we all celebrated with the jello shots! At 11 we all decided to go to the bar.
At that point I had drank enough for the whole evening, but I still managed to get 3 drinks at the bar!! At least they were spread out from 11 - 2!
We had a really good time, and Air had fun which was the whole point!

Sunday and Monday I spent recovering from Saturday! Really!
I worked for my mom for a few hours on Sunday. It was fun! I like working with my mom!

Tuesday Air and K came over for dinner. Trav and I tried a new recipe of Chicken Lo Mein. We were a little nervous to try out a new recipe on friends, and this one especially since we haven't made many Chinese dishes. It turned out really well though!

Last night we went to the gym and then Lindsey came over for a couple hours. It was really good to see her! We have both been very busy and haven't been able hang out nearly as much as we'd like! We agree on so many things, it's fun to chat about it all!!

Tonight we are having my parents over for Spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad! And wine! :) It's going to be a good night!

I am excited that it's Thursday, because that means Friday is right around the corner!! This weekend we don't have a lot of plans yet, but I know we will manage to stay busy! I think we are going cosmic bowling with some friends on Saturday night!

Next week is Thanksgiving! I am getting really excited for the holidays! I am still a little nervous to be hosting Thanksgiving dinner, but I think with Trav's help it will go smoothly! I just hope everything tastes yummy!!

I am excited for shopping on Friday also! I have been saving some money for a few months and I get to spend it all on myself! I thought the day after thanksgiving sales would be a perfect chance!

Trav and I will probably decorate the house for Christmas next Friday also! And the next weekend we will go cut our tree! We always have a lot of fun picking out and cutting down our tree! This will be the first year we will be decorating our new house for Christmas! I think it will look very cozy! It's going to be fun!!

Alright, I've already written far to much! I just haven't blogged for a while so I had a lot to say!
Have a great Thursday and a fabulous weekend!

9 year anniversary

Today marks Travis and I's 9 year anniversary from the day he asked me out November 9, 1998. I am excited to go celebrate with him this evening! I can still remember that day so well, even what I wore and what time he asked me!
I can't wait to get off work early! Tomorrow we are celebrating Air's 26th bday. I am looking forward to it! I think this is going to be a very good weekend!

To my husband Travis:
Happy 9 year anniversary! It's hard to believe we have been together for 9 years already. I have enjoyed every day. Thank you for making life so much fun and such an adventure! Never a dull moment!
You were a wonderful boyfriend and have proven yourself as an amazing, selfless, loving, committed husband.
Here's to 69 more years together!! I love you with all my heart and soul.

November is here!

Good Morning.
Our weekend was relaxing. It’s sad that it’s already over. It was perfect fall weather. Cold crisp air, but the sun was shining!! It was beautiful!
Friday night after work we ran a few errands, and then soaked our work stresses away in a nice hot bath. It was very relaxing. Afterwards we headed to Air’s for Tacos and movies! A relaxing night is just what the doctor ordered! We watched Spiderman 3, which was very good, Killing Jake something or other, which was funny, but silly, and started Hollywoodland, but I fell asleep about 10 minutes into that one!
The tacos were delicious and laying around in my sweatpants and sweatshirt after a long hot bath was perfect!
Saturday we slept in until 11. We decided to get all our chores and errands done Saturday instead of Sunday this week, to get it over with and also to get some food to eat! So we worked on cleaning up, sorting laundry, grocery shopping, etc until about 4. Air came over to have omlets and biscuits and gravy with us at about 5. We made jello shots and talked and laughed until the Beavers Game started on tv. It was exciting being able to watch the game on tv for once! The game however, was not very exciting. It was pretty depressing really. The final score was 24 to 3. Ouch. Better luck next game Beavs!
Air, Trav and I had a great time sitting around talking and drinking! K showed up at about 10 and we hung out until about 3 in the morning!
Sunday we slept in until almost 1!! We finally rolled out of bed and Trav mowed the lawn while I started the laundry. My mom called and asked if I could come help her organize her shop so she could fit someone her new Christmas inventory in!! So we headed to my parents at about 3 to help out. We also scored a shrimp and steak dinner while we were there! It was fun. We ended up leaving at about 6. We ended the weekend just finishing the laundry and watching some tv.
It was relaxing, which is what I wanted!!
This weekend will not be so relaxing! Trav and I are celebrating our 9 year dating anniversary on Friday. It will be a lot of fun! Saturday we are celebrating Air’s 26th bday!! We are probably going to go to a nice dinner in Portland and then find a good night club there!
I found out last night that I am hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year. I’m excited, but I’m also nervous. It will be a smaller than normal group, so it will be a good way to break me in! We are having my parents and my brother, and Travs parents and his granddad! On the menu is: appetizers, deviled eggs, olives, and pickles, and of course wine and champagne! For dinner: a 20lb turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green salad, candied yams, stuffing, cool whip fruit salad, green bean casserole, rolls, and cranberry sauce. And dessert, Pumpkin pie and cherry cheese cake!!! It will be quite the event!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Well, back to work for now! Have a great week!

OSU vs Stanford

I know I say this every Monday, but I can’t believe another weekend has come and gone! I’m glad Monday is almost over!
Monday’s are always hard. It’s so hard to get back into the groove after the weekend!
Friday Ladd came in from Bend. Trav and I ran our errands and got our chores done so when he got there we could relax and eat dinner! We had grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was very yummy! I was pretty tired, so we went to bed at about midnight after a movie.
We got up at 10 to get ready for tailgating! We tailgated from noon until 3, and headed into the game at 3ish. The game was awesome. The weather was perfect! Sunny and 65. No wind! It was great.
The Beavers beat Stanford!!! Go Beavs. It was lots of fun. After the game Air picked us up and took us back to the house to drink more! We drank until after midnight!
Sunday we slept in and we all had nice hangovers! We managed to do our Sunday chores and errands and even managed to get over to Travs parents for dinner. It was good to catch up with them. His dad is doing better every day!
Now it’s back to the daily grind! We have no plans yet this weekend. J Have a great week!!

FRIDAY

Yep, you guessed it! It's 4pm on Friday afternoon and I am SO excited. This is the moment I wait for all week! The work part of the week is coming to an end, and now the fun begins!
And this weekend is the Beavers Game!
We went to my parents for dinner last night. It was SO good. Salmon, pasta, salad, and wine! We had a great time. After dinner my mom asked us if we wanted an early Chirstmas present. I didn't really, because I hate ruining Christmas suprises, but I knew my mom wouldn't ask unless there was a good reason for it....so I said yes.
She brought out 2 Oregon State zip up sweatshirts! They are AWESOME They are like track jackets that go with a sweatsuit, except they are bright orange and say Oregon State on them! They are so warm a fuzzy inside! Trav and I were very excited because we don't relaly have any Beavers gear, and we knew we'd need something to keep us warm at the game tomorrow!
Have a fabulous weekend!! And GO BEAVS!

Anniversary Approaching

So some people think I'm silly for still celebrating Trav and I's DATING anniversary now that we're married. But we dated for so long, that the date he asked me out still means a lot to me! Our 9 year dating anniversary is November 9th, and I was trying to think of something romantic we could do to celebrate. I mentioned it to Travis, and was throwing ideas out...like going to a nice dinner in Portland or something. HE came up with the best idea though. He suggested that we take a trip down memory lane.....go for a walk around the school where he asked me out, then go to Dairy Queen, where we shared a meal on our first date, then go to a show at the Majestic Theatre, where he gave me my first kiss, and finish off the night by taking a drive through the hills of Corvallis, where we always used to go to look at the city, and make out. :)
I thought it was SUCH a sweet idea. It means a lot to me that he thought of that for celebrating!
So, that is our plan for November 9th. It will be a lot of fun taking a stroll down memory lane!

I am so in love with my husband. Getting married was by far the best thing I have ever done. It's not always easy, but I know I got a good one! I have so much fun with Travis and I feel so lucky that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. There is nothing better than KNOWING that you are loved...not having to worry that they don't love you, or don't care about you. Travis and I work hard on our relationship, but the hard work pays off!
Sorry for that sappy moment. I just don't think I give him enough credit and props for all he does! ;) So props to you Hubby! I love you.

Weeks are flying by....

Another weekend has come and gone! Already! Trav and I had a nice weekend. It was very relaxing! We didn't do much! Friday we had a date night. We just watched movies and hung out with each other. Saturday we laid around all day, but that evening we had a couple friends over and had some drinks! We had a fun time talking, laughing, and drinking!

Sunday we slept in again, and spent a good part of the day lying around. We did our Sunday chores though!

Friday I found an issue with our budget. We have been working really hard to pay off our debt since we bought our new house in April. It has been hard work, but it feels good to make a dent in it! Anyway, when we bought our house, we charged our flooring and a few other items on our Home Depot credit card.

In my mind, I figured out how we could pay it off in the 1 year of 0% financing we had. We just had to pay $400 a month on it. Trav and I's paychecks are automatically deposited, and a certain amount is deposited into each account that it needs to go into to cover those bills. Well last month we were about $100 short paying our bills. I thought it was strange, but figured that the water bill was pretty high, and a few other things that probably made up the difference. This month we were short AGAIN, and I couldn't explain why. So I added up all our bills again, and divided it by 4....which should have given me the amount each of us has deposited into the "bills" account. But it didn't. It said I was $400 short a MONTH!! I couldn't believe it. I re ran the numbers about 10 times. Finally I gave up and asked Trav if he could take a look. He came up with the same numbers.

Dang, that is a hard hit! So, Saturday we sat down and re-figured our budget. It wasn't fun. It looks like I had thought out the home depot cc pay off, but since we weren't sure if we were going to use the cc or pay cash for the items when I did the budget, I didn't include it.

We are on track again though! It will take us a couple extra months to pay off the debt we are working on, but at least we know where it's all going now!

I am excited for this week....and weekend! It's supposed to be sunny all week! It's still very cold....mid 50's to low 60's, but I don't mind the cold, crisp air...I just don't love the rain!

Tuesday we are going over to Air and K's for dinner! We're having breakfast for dinner. Yum!

I'm hoping we'll have a chance to go to my parents for dinner this week also!

Friday Ladd is coming down from Bend. He will stay with us Friday and Saturday. He's going to the Beav's game with us this weekend!! YAY! It's going to be more good times!!!

Have a great week! Enjoy the sunshine. ;)

Fall

Good Morning. It's hard for me to believe that it is a new week once again! And fall is in full swing. The leaves are turning into beautiful bright colors, the wind is crisp and cold, and the rain is starting to fall!

This weekend was a doozy!

First of all, last week was SO busy! By Thursday night when I got home from a friends party at 9, I was pooped! I sat down to watch Grey's Anatomy, my favorite show in the world and I actually fell asleep during it!!! I was disappointed to miss it, but I watched it later online, and I needed the sleep!

Friday-

After work we bought our alcohol and went straight to Lindsey and Brians. Jeff arrived shortly after we did, and we headed to Keiths. We arrived at about 6:45, and the drinking began. We got a tour of Keiths house. It was SO nice! He and Danell had it built a couple years ago and it is truly beautiful. Out in the country, on 6 acres! Their son, Hunter, is so well behaved! Anyway, I started in on my cranberry and vodka's, and Lindsey, Trav and Brian on their beers. Keith and Jeff had Whiskey sours, and Danell was sipping on some wine. We sat around chatting while smelling the WONDERFUL Elk meat cooking. We had a wonderful evening, and headed home at about 1!

Saturday-

I woke up with quite the hangover! My friend Amy's wedding was at 11:30 in Shedd, so we got up at 9:30 to have plenty of time to get ready and drive out there. We arrived just in time. Amy was a BEAUTIFUL bride! The wedding was gorgeous! I am so happy for she and Jay! My mom called and needed me to bring her an item she left at my house for an emergency gift basket that the customer needed that afternoon! So Trav and I had to leave the reception in a hurry to get that taken care of. I took a nap from 2 - 4, which really helped me feel better. At 4 we got up and cleaned the house. We were having Monika over that evening for her birthday dinner!! We ended up really getting into the cleaning! We completely organized our office and guest room that we still had a few items in from the move! It felt great to really get those rooms cleaned up!

Monika arrived at 6, and we went to the store to get our beer! Trav made dinner for us! It was very yummy!

After dinner we played games and drank our beer. At 11 we headed to the bowling alley to do some cosmic bowling! It was completely full though, so we got turned away at the door! We headed to Riley's new bar instead. We hung out there for a couple hours before heading back to the house! We had MORE drinks at the house and just had a fun time hanging out! We finally went to bed at 4 (I have no idea how I stayed up that late OR how I drank with the way I was feeling! Or how Mon stayed up that late....she had to be at work at 9 in the morning!).

Sunday-

We slept in!!! It felt GREAT to just sleep. We finally convinced ourselves to get out of bed at noon. I could have slept longer, but I wanted to be able to sleep that night! We got all our laundry together and got it all done, as well as our regular Sunday chores....grocery shopping, cleaning, etc. Just getting the house ready for another week!

Now it's back to another work week! We have another busy week to! Tuesday Air and K are coming over for dinner, Wednesday we are getting together with Lindsey and Brian, and Thursday I am going over to my ex co-worker Robbie's house for a wine date with she and Becky! Then it's the weekend again! I'm sure we'll fill it with fun activities...we always do!

NEXT weekend we are going to the Stanford Beavers game! I am really excited! Ladd is coming down to go with us, and Monika and JD are going as well! There are only 2 more home games this year and this is one of them! It's gonna be good stuff!

Ok, it's time to get back to work! Have a great week!

A weekend gettaway

I have so much I want to say and I don’t know where to start! So I’ll start on the weekend. Friday we moved our offices across the parking lot to our new office building. It was quite the day! I got all moved over though, and the new office is much nicer! Scott told me I could leave once my office was moved, since Travis and I were heading to Bend, and a little nervous going over the snowy pass at night! So at 3, I headed home, and Trav and I left for Bend! I’m glad we left early, because the pass was cold and snowy, which could have been bad at night. We got to Ladd’s at 6, and settled in with some very yummy chicken pot pies! After we ate, we mixed up some drinks and took them out to the spa. We relaxed in the spa for 2 hours. It was so nice!
We got out of the spa, and headed upstairs to watch a movie. After the movie, Trav and I checked out the steamer. I had never heard of a steamer before, but it was very nice. It just felt like it cleaned out your pores and left you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! I loved it! We called it a night at about 2. We went upstairs to the guest bedroom. It was so comfortable!
Saturday we slept in and when we finally did get up, we went straight to the spa! We soaked for another couple hours. We got out at 5, and decided to get ready for the day (that was mostly over at this point!) We just relaxed and ate for the rest of the evening!
Sunday we woke up and got right in the spa again! And then the steamer. We got all packed up and headed home. It’s never fun saying goodbye to your friends and knowing you won’t see them again for a long time! We had a great trip though. It was very relaxing….almost like a weekend at a day spa!
Monday came too quickly, like it always does! And man was it hectic! We were still moving some of the offices over, and the phones and internet! It took until about 2 before everything was back up and running. It was just crazy! The time sure did fly by though! The new office is SO much nicer! Everything is nice and new, so it smells really fresh and clean.
This week is going to be very busy as well. Tonight we are going to Air and K’s for chicken enchiladas! Yum. Tomorrow my parents are coming over for dinner, Thursday I am going to a party for Monika, and Friday we are going to an old co-worker’s (Keith) house with Lindsey and Brian and Jeff for dinner and drinks! Saturday my friend Amy is getting MARRIED! After her wedding we are taking Monika out for her birthday! Sunday I am hoping we will just recover! Maybe have a Chinese takeout movie Sunday!
Well, that’s all for now! Have a great rest of the week!

TGIT

It's Thursday afternoon! It's smooth sailing from here on! I am getting pretty excited for the weekend. Trav and I are heading to Ladd's house in Bend for the weekend. His parents went on vacation, so the house is ours! I am really looking forward to soaking in their hot tub! It's always nice to just get away from the house for the weekend!
My company is moving their office. Not very far, just across the parking lot actually. The new office is such nicer. It's bigger and it's set up much better than this office! I am a little nervous to move, because with the move I'm sure there will be change, and change always scares me. People won't be sitting in the same places...we'll be much more spread out for the most part. I think it will be a good change though. My desk is right next to the huge windows in the front. I love windows! And they look out into a big field with trees and nice landscaping.
I am now a permanent Corvallis Moving employee! October 1st was my first day not working through Selectemp. It feels good knowing I'm permanent! So, I am a little anxious about the move, but I'm sure it will all work out! I am checking in at the new building starting on Monday!
Well, thats all for now! Have a great weekend!

October

I can’t believe it is already October! I have a feeling this is going to be a very cold winter! It is already very cold out for being the 1st of October! And it looks like the rain is here to stay! Goodbye sunshine until spring, when a few breaks from the rain will come!
It was a very relaxing weekend. It’s hard for me to have such relaxing weekends, because I have been so busy all summer…well all year really. Since LAST October is when we started preparing the old house to sell, we have been busy every weekend since until now. October – March with selling the house and of course the Holidays, March – June with moving, twice, into the new house and updating the new house, and me getting a new job, and June – now with summer activities! So really, I am not joking when I say that this is our first chance to relax in a year!
So, it has been enjoyable, but very hard for me. I feel like I should be doing something productive instead of just sitting around!
Friday, Travis and I went out to dinner with Monika. Monika and I got into our little black dresses, to make for a more elegant occasion. We had a great time. Red Lobster was PACKED. We got there at 7:30, and got seated at 8. Trav ordered endless shrimp, and I ordered a trio platter with salmon, crab alfredo linguine, and crab legs. YUM! And of course it came with Red Lobsters wonderful cheesy biscuits, a salad, and a baked potato! I did not make it through all the food, and was able to take the salmon and backed potato home as leftovers! Travis went through several courses of shrimp, and I even tried a couple!
We got back to the house at 10, and Monika and I got right to blending our strawberry margaritas! They were so good. We had a great time. At about 2am our friend Cody came over, who we haven’t seen since our wedding! It was great catching up. We ended up talking until 5:30am!
Trav and I slept in later than I have slept in for years! We slept until 2! When we got up we were completely unproductive. We ate and watched tv….thats it. That was our whole Saturday! So relaxing!
Sunday we woke up at a decent hour and got our chores done first thing. We got home from lunch and grocery shopping at 3, and once everything was put away we decided to tackle organizing the garage! We were out there for 4 hours, and we really did get a lot done! There is still more to do though! We got one side completely cleared off, so I can park my car in the garage now. Next weekend we will work on the other side, so hopefully starting next week our garage will be completely organized and both cars will be kept nice and warm inside!
That’s all for now.
Have a happy week!

Fall is here!

Well, it is officially fall and it certainly feels like it! The nights are cold, the mornings are freezing, and during the day it is sunny and warms up, but it is still very crisp out. I like it, but it reminds me that a long, cold winter is coming! I am looking forward to the holiday’s this year! I can’t wait to snuggle up in front of our new fireplace and sip hot coco! Not to mention how fun decorating the house for the first time will be! I always enjoy the holiday season!
Last weekend was a lot of fun! We wanted to relax, and we got to! Friday night Air and K came over at about 7. The boys drank beer while Air and I blended strawberry margaritas! Air was having a bad day, so after a few margaritas, we decided to go cosmic bowling with a group of friends. The boys didn’t want to go, so we got all dolled up and went without them! We met our friends at the bowling alley bar and got a couple drinks before starting the bowling. The boys had to come pick something up that they had left in the car we drove, so they showed up about 30 mins after we got there and ended up staying. We had a lot of fun drinking, dancing, and bowling our hearts out! We got home a little after 2, made some French toast, and crashed!
Saturday we slept in, which unfortunately didn’t help the hangover much! Then we just sat around and watched tv shows online until 7 when we ate and then headed to Airs to watch a movie. That night we went to bed at a decent hour!
Sunday we woke up at 9:30. We had heard good things about a church in North Albany and Air and K were checking it out, so we decided to go with them! It was good. The service doesn’t start until 11, and it gets out by 12:10! I think we’ll go back.
After church we went grocery shopping and got our chores done before settling in for more relaxing on the couch!
It was a good weekend.
Now it’s Monday and our week is already filling up. Tonight we have dinner at Trav’s parents after my chrio appointment, and then we are going to work out. Tomorrow we are having tacos at Airs! I know we need to have a meeting with Trav’s client, have dinner with my parents, and meet up with Lindsey and Brian this week to! And Friday we are getting together with our friend Monika!
Saturday, I am hoping we will go tailgate at the Beavers game with friends!
Well, that’s all for now! Have a great week!

TGIF!!! - Not!

I may sound a little bitter, because it's Thursday, but almost everyone I know is taking tomorrow off so it's Friday for them! I am stuck doing the normal Friday routine. Oh well, I won't complain! :)
Well, Travis had his 1 year review yesterday! It went very well. He got very high mark from everyone! Above Exceeds on several of the catagories, and Exceeds on everything else! I am so stinking proud of him! He has only been in the "field" for one year and he is going above and beyond! His boss had only good things to say about him. He has taken the online department so far in the past year! He got a $1.50 raise, and he already got $1 raise after he'd been there for 6 months (which is not something they normally do) so in a year he has already gotten $2.50 in raises!
I am so proud of him....I know this is just the beginning, but it shows how dedicated and how good he is at his job! He is very smart and so business minded!
Travis, keep up the good work! You are an amazing man and I am so proud of you! I love you very much!

Other than that not a whole lot has been going on. This week everyone went on vacation except Scott and I, so we have been running the place alone! It's gone very well! I'm glad the week is coming to a close. We don't have any huge weekend plans, but I'm SO happy for that! We want to get some yard work done...to get ready for the fall and winter, and do some serious relaxing! Air started day shift at the hospital on Tuesday and I already love her new schedule! Yay Air!
Have a great day!

Beavers Game!!

Monday again! It's almost like the weekends don't even happen...they go by so quickly!
Friday my friend Monika came over. We were really close in HS, and she was my first roommate! She came over around 8, and we had some beers and just caught up on life. Poor Monika is going through a separation with her husband of 5 years. I hope they will be able to work things out in the end. We had a lot of fun though! Stayed up until 3:30, talking, playing games, and laughing!
Saturday we woke up at 9am, not feeling to great with such little sleep after so many beers! The hangover was pretty harsh! We just sat around in our PJ's until about 11 when we decided to get ready for the Beavers Game! We got to Avery Park at almost 1, with our portable bbq, hotdogs, chairs, and cooler full of beer! We had a great time just relaxing in the sun, sitting back enjoying all the lively Beavers spirit around us! We headed to the game at 3, since it started at 3:30 and we had a little walk in front of us! The game was awesome! The Beavers scored like 9 touchdowns!! We were cheering like crazy!
That evening we went over to my parents and hung out until midnight.
Sunday we slept in a little, to recover! Lots of beer had been drank since Friday! We got our chores and grocery shopping done, and then headed over to Air's for a celebration!! She worked her last graveyard shift on Sunday morning!! She starts her new day shift position Tuesday! We are really excited to get her on our schedule!!
I took my new car to my mechanic so he could look it over and service it. He said it looks really good, like it's been well cared for! It has new tires and new brakes, so thats good news! It did need the water pump replaced, and a new belt, and with the service and everything added up to $350. But I'm glad it's all taken care of and I know it's a good car!
This weekend Trav and I are going to work in the yard to get it in order for the fall! It's nice to have a free weekend! It has been a very busy year!
Thats all for now! Have a great week!

What a weekend!

It's Monday again! Wow, they come back so quickly!
Trav and I had a lot of fun over the weekend! Friday we went over to Air and K's and played games, had a fire, and drank some drinks. We had a really good time! We crashed at about 2am. We slept in until 11 the next morning, and eventually got up to eat some eggs and sausage. We said goodbye to Air and K and decided we should do our "Sunday" chores, since we knew we were going to be in Portland on Sunday. So we went to Rays to get our fresh fruits and veggies, and then hit Fred Meyer to pick up our other groceries. We have been wanting a relaxing weekend, so when we got home and cleaned up the house, we decided it would be a great evening to settle in and watch movies! It was so nice to have a relaxing evening.
The alarm went off at 7am, so it felt like a work day when we had to get up! We are so used to sleeping in on the weekends, it was hard to get up so early! The Clarks Sr. arrived to pick us up at 8:30am and we headed to Jason and Ambers up in Portland. We were on our way to the Bodyworlds 3 show at OMSI.
We made a pit stop at IKEA before going to OMSI. It was much different than I pictured it. There were a LOT of people there, which made it very crowded. I think I would like to check it out at least once more, when I have more time and hopefully there won't be as many people there! It is HUGE, 2 stories and just stuffed full of stuff. On the top level they have whole rooms set up with a list of what is in there in the room, so if you want you can just buy the whole room, or just buy the parts you like out of it. That was pretty cool.
The Bodyworlds 3 exhibit was very interesting. I'm not much into watching the surgeries and stuff on TV, and I was interested to see how this was done, but I knew I may not be able to handle it for long. It is amazing how many parts there are in the human body to make it work. Trav and I walked through pretty quickly. It was very crowded in there as well, and I was pretty sick of crowds at that point! The rest of the family was still wandering through, so we went out on the waterfront and soaked in the sun rays. It was a very nice afternoon. We went for a walk along the waterfront before heading back in to see if the rest of our group had made it out! Travis had woken up with a sore throat, that I had on Saturday night but seemed to be gone on Sunday. He wasn't feeling to great by the end of the day. We were both tired and fell asleep on the drive home. Once home we just relaxed a little more and went to bed early. Trav really wasn't feeling great. Poor guy.
This morning we got up and showered, and Trav really didn't sound good. I told him he should call in so he could rest today and hopefully catch this bug before it really takes over. I hope he is feeling better soon!
This Saturday we get to go to a BEAVERS GAME!!! YEAH! We are really excited. It's a lot of fun to go to the games. We are going to make a day of it....tailgate for a good part of the day before it and party it up after! Whether we win or lose! I hope we win though!
Alright, I've babbled on and on enough! This was a pretty boring post!
Happy Monday! Hopefully this week will go by fast and the weekend will be here again in no time!

New Car

Happy Hump day!

Travis and I had a very eventful weekend!

Friday evening Lindsey and Brian came over to our house. We watched a silly movie, that turned out to be pretty funny, and just had a good time catching up!
Saturday, Trav and I went to the state fair. We went in the early afternoon so we could spend most of the day there. There's just so much to do! We checked out all the booths and then went up to the beer garden to relax a little before going to the Chris Daughtry concert. We had some dinner and watched a show before heading to the concert, and of course got our pictures taken in one of the photo booths, which we do every time we go to the state fair! It's fun to see how we've changed over the years!

The Daughtry concert was awesome. It was packed out! I don't think there was an empty seat in the place. He was very good! Chris is the man! :)

Sunday we made a day trip to the beach! I always love going to the beach. We usually don't do much. We just wonder around Newport, visit all the little shops on the bay, go to Mo's and lay on the beach! I don't know why, but it is always so much fun, and so relaxing! This trip was especially fun because the weather was perfect! Sunny and 75, not even any wind! We went on the beach right when we got there, and once we got to the water we realized we were hungry, so we decided to walk to Mo's, since we were so close to the bay and it was so nice out. We ate a great meal...I even went out on a limb and got the fish sandwhich with chowder instead of my normal cannonball chowder bowl.

After we ate we walked along the bay, stopped at Aunt Belindas to get some taffy and candies, and one last stop at the market to get a 6 pack of Mikes before heading back to the beach.

When we got back to the beach, we set up our chairs right in front of the water, cracked open a cold one and just relaxed in the sun for the rest of the afternoon! It was a great day.

Monday we got up a little earlier than I like to on holidays, but we were on a mission! We got to my parents at 10 and from there we all headed to Portland in search of a car. And we found one! I got a 2000 Chevy Malibu LS. It's a 4 door automatic sedan. It only has 75000 miles, so I think it will last me for a good while and it will be a good family car when that becomes an issue! It is is excellent condition and only had one owner before me! I got it for only $1000 over the settlement I got on my totaled car. All in all, I think it worked out for the best. I was going to have to replace the exhaust system on my Mazda the week it was totaled, which was going to cost $800, so I would have had to spend that much anyway.
I just hope this turns out to be a reliable car with no issues other than normal wear and tear type things! It's nice to be able to drive myself around again.
Anyway, it's already Wednesday so only 2 more days until the weekend! Yay!
Have a good rest of the week!

Internet Down

Our Internet is down at work right now. It has been down since I got here at 8, and it’s almost 11! Since I do almost ALL of my work on the internet, I have been feeling pretty useless today!
I can’t believe I haven’t already mentioned this, but Travis finally settled on a price for the car. It’s nothing wonderful, but at least we should be able to find something somewhat reliable with it. We will probably have to spend a little out of pocket, but less than we would have had to if we had settled before! It’s nice to have that done. We still don’t have the check. We are sending in the signed title today, and the adjuster said once he gets the title, he will send us the check. We have been looking for cars in our price range for the past week or two, and so far we haven’t had much luck. I am going to look at an Audi today, but it’s older, so it probably has high miles….And it’s about $1500 more than we got for my car, so I’d have to talk him down quite a bit if I was interested. We’ll see. I just want a car that will hold a family and last me for about 10 years before it poops out on me! It’s a pretty frustrating situation. Such is life.
Travis and I put 2 more lights up light night. They look really good! We had a super yummy dinner! Travis wanted hamburgers and I wanted chicken, so we decided to make chicken burgers! We grilled up the chicken, along with corn on the cob (I am really going to miss all these fresh veggies when summer is over!) Zucchini, and some peppers for Trav. I sliced up fresh tomatoes and lettuce for the hamburgers, and sliced up a cucumber to snack on! It was all SO good! And we finally went back to the gym. When Ladd came to stay for the week, it threw off our schedule so we stopped working out that week. Then we had our anniversary, so we were gone Monday and Tuesday of the following week, and we just didn’t make it the rest of the week. So this was our first workout in 2 weeks!
It didn’t feel great doing it, but it sure did feel good afterwards! I really want to get back into the routine!
I am pretty excited to get our dining room chandler up! I think it will look really nice. After we get it up, we will only have one more hall light, and the office and guest bedroom. Then we have to replace all the door knobs and plug covers and a couple more switch covers! We are getting there!! I can tell it is going to be very cozy in the winter!
The lights make it extra cozy, and the fireplace will make it even cozier if we can get it all fixed up and start using it.
Early this morning there was a lunar eclipse! I really wanted to see it, but it didn’t start until 2:30a and went until almost 4:30a! I knew we wouldn’t be able to watch the whole thing because of the timing, but the best part was supposed to be right around 3:30, so we set our alarm for 3:30 so we could take a quick look. At 3:30 when the alarm went off I couldn’t figure out what the noise was. I finally realized it was the alarm and wondered to the window to look for the moon. I couldn't’t find it, so I woke Trav up and we went outside to look. It was really cool to see the moon an orange/red color. We looked at it for about 2 minutes before heading back to bed!
I get to have an house lunch with Trav today! I am looking forward to it! Since they took my rental car away I have only been having ½ hour lunches because it takes Travis 15 mins each way to drive here. It will be nice to have a whole hour break, plus it will be great to spend a whole hour with Trav! He has a meeting in Corvallis today, which I just happen to be on the way to, so he has a little extra time!
My work is moving! Not far, just to another warehouse across the parking lot! But it’s still going to be a lot of work to move everything over. The new office space is a lot bigger. I think it will be nice when it’s all fixed up.
I've been thinking more about work recently and I've realized that I am finally feeling very comfortable in my new job. I still have questions every now and then, but for the most part I feel comfortable running the show! It is a GREAT feeling! I'm very blessed to have found this position....so close to home and something I can enjoy!
Well, our Internet is still down. I hope it will be up soon!
Have a great Tuesday!

Monday again!

I despise Mondays!! I always sleep so badly on Sunday's because I sleep in more on the weekends so I'm just not tired!! Last night we went to bed at 11, and neither of us was tired so we talked until 11:45, and then tried to sleep but I didn't fall asleep until almost 2!! And even then it was restless sleep! Starting a new week seems to just get harder and harder each time! Now I'm looking forward to every weekend so much, and it just goes by so quickly!!
At least this weekend is a 3 day weekend! I am looking forward to that!
Trav and I had a great weekend. We didn't have anything that we HAD to do, which turned out to be a GREAT feeling! Friday we had no plans at all, so after work we went out to dinner and during dinner K called and asked us to come over for a little get together he and Air were having. So we went over there and spend the evening talking, laughing and drinking! We stayed the night, and woke up at 10 on Sat. We sat on the couch and talked with Air and K until about 11, then we headed home.
We decided to go to Home Depot to get light fixtures, toilet seats, vent covers, switch covers, etc! $600, 3 stores, and 4 hours later we were almost done!! We had to head to Corvallis for dinner with the inlaws! Dinner was good. Steak, corn on the cob, potato salad, and watermelon! We left at 8:30 and watched a couple rentals we had just rec'd from Netflix!
Sunday we slept in until 10, got ready, and went to Trav's company picnic at Lakeshore Lanes. We had a great time! Trav bowled an average of 150! Nice work Trav! We bowled until 2, Trav won a professional bowling bag (yippee)!
We went grocery shopping after that and finally got back to the house at 5!! We were anxious to get back so we could put some of our new things together!! We worked from 5 - 10 on house stuff. It was so much fun! We could have gone all night!! But, it's hard to put lights up when there is no light from outside so you can see!! There is still more to do, but we got a LOT done and I already feel better about it!
I can't wait to get these little projects finished. Then we just have a little more we want to do in the yard, mainly to prepare it for looking beautiful next spring, and when the weather takes a turn, we are going to go crazy organizing the garage! Once all that is done, our house will feel complete! There will still be little projects we will want to do to improve it, but nothing will feel incomplete....like it does when you don't have switch covers or light fixtures are hanging from the ceiling!
Our next big house project will probably be the fireplace. We have to find a way to update it! We need to save a little more before we can start that though! Hopefully we can do it this winter!
Ok, sorry I talked for so long about the house! I got carried away!
Happy Monday!

Sunshine!

My Stars! It’s Friday again!! This week has gone by very quickly! I’m sure it has something to do with the fact that I only worked 3 days! I am excited for the weekend. For I think the first time all summer, Trav and I don’t have any major weekend plans! We have dinner planned at his parents at 7 Saturday, and from 11 – 4 Sunday we are going bowling with Trav’s work for his summer work party! Saturday we will also probably get the lights and switch covers for the house and maybe even get some of them on! We may also go rafting or to Silver Creek Falls, if we get a wild hair. It’s supposed to be nice this weekend, so I’d like to take advantage of the weather as much as possible!
Last night we had my parents over for dinner! Well, it started with my parents, but it ended up that my brother and grandma came to! The more the merrier! We had bbq’d chicken, corn on the cob, salad, fresh zucchini, summer squash, rice, and cantaloupe. Then we had cake and ice cream for dessert! Of course, my parents brought plenty of wine! When they first arrived, we sat outside on the patio and sipped on wine while enjoying the sunshine. After dinner, we played a game called tripole, which is a great game that my family has played for as long as I can remember!
My parents took my grandma home around 9:30, and my brother stayed to watch a movie with us. It was nice to hang out with my brother a little longer. He is only here for another month before heading back to college.
It was a great night! I’m glad we got to host the dinner. Travis was very helpful! It was nice that we bbq’d. Sometimes I get stressed out if I’m the only one cooking for a large group and it seems like every thing happens at once! Last night was very relaxed and Trav helped with the cooking, setting the table, etc! He is such a blessing to have around!
I have a journal that my mom gave me for my wedding and told me to keep it in my nightstand and write in it after I got married. I was looking through my few entries last night and realized that Travis and I had a very rough first year of marriage. The first 2 – 3 months were amazing, but with him being in school and not working much, if at all, it was really hard. There were so many extra stresses…not enough money, long hours at school and on homework, the house was to small, etc. Reading our struggles surprised me, because I love being married so much, and he is such a great husband. I was going through some hard times for a good 6 months. I just thank God that those times are over. Travis has his career job now and loves it, we are feeling settled into our new home…which is actually BIG enough to hold all our stuff, and we are so blessed.
Well, I’ve babbled enough for today! Have a great weekend!

2 year anniversary!!

I can't believe our anniversary is already over. I think about it for so long, and plan things, etc, and then it's over so quickly!
Trav and I had a wonderful time, away from all the normal riff raff. We had recieved a free night at a cabin at Crooked River Ranch as a gift for our wedding, and decided to use it for our anniversary! We added on a night, so we got to stay a little longer.
The weather was so strange! Although it didn't rain on us, and we did get a good amount of sun, it was cloudy and about 75 most of the time! Very strange weather for late August!
Our cabin was so cute, but the whole thing was about 200 square feet. It was very cozy!
We climbed Smith Rock the day we got there. I was wearing flips flops, and we did "Misery Ridge" which turned out to be basically going straight up the mountain! It was a little scary in flip flops. We made it though, and the view from the top was amazing! We were very glad it was cloudy that day, because we were sweating!! Coming down we thought would be easy, but it was difficult as well! We had to slide down on our butts most of the way! Looking back it is really funny, but at the time I really thought we might die!
Anyway, that evening we went to dinner at the Sandbagger Saloon, which was in our resort. It was very yummy! We ended the night cuddled up on the bed, watching late night re-runs!
We slept in on our anniversary. We both woke up around 10, and then just laid in bed and talked until a little after 11. We got ready for the day, and decided to head into Redmond to walk around. We wanted to have our anniversary dinner at a nice restaurant, and we had seen a couple nice restaurants advertized in Redmond. So, we wondered along the streets, going into all the little shops, just holding hands and enjoying each others company! It was cloudy most of the day, and unbelievably chilly when the wind blew! We thought maybe our gift to each other should be sweatshirts so we could warm up!
Before we could find a clothing store we wandered into a little ceramics shop! We decided it would be fun, and a great gift to paint each other a coffee mug! It was so fun! We spent about 3 hours working on each others mug! They are shipping them to us after they fire them, and I am so excited to see the finished product!!
After we left there we found a great little clothing shop. They were having a sale on sweatshirts! So we got each other a sweatshirt as well!!
Then we found a little pet store and stopped in to play with the animals. At about 6 our tummies started to rumble! At the sweatshirt shop the cashier told us about a wonderful, intimate little resturant called Chloe's. We decided it sounded perfect. It was very nice. Candles on the tables, very nice staff, and very intimate environment! The food was wonderful!!
We went back to the cabin and toasted ourselves with champagne. :)
It was nice to just take a break from the world and spend time together! I love Travis so much and I have truly enjoyed the past 2 years! Being married is so much fun!
"Here's to us baby!"

Hump day

Another week is in full swing! Trav and I had a great weekend. We went camping with our friend Ladd. He moved to Bend a few months ago, so it’s always good to see him! We left for camping right after work on Friday. We got ice, packed up the cooler, and off we were! Ladd had headed there a little early to get us a spot. Good thing he did to, because our normal spot was already taken and the campground we got would have probably been full by 6:30 when we got there. When we got there we got all set up and started something for dinner. We had hamburgers. Yummy! After that Trav started in on the beer and I had some wine. Ladd had been drinking throughout the day while he waited for us, so he was feeling pretty good by the time we showed up! We had a good time sitting around the campfire talking and catching up!
The next morning we slept in until 10, got up to have breakfast, and then took a nap. It was so relaxing! Then we went out on the river and fished and played in the water. It was a beautiful day! When it got to be about 6, we headed back to camp to start dinner. We had hamburgers, cantaloupe, corn on the cob, and baked beans! It was very yummy. We had run out of firewood the night before, so the guys went in search of more. They ended up getting a LOT of good pieces, but they were across the river so they had to carry them across! Good times!
Sunday we packed up and headed home a little after noon. We just had a chill day. We got all our chores done and went grocery shopping.
Now we are mid-week. It has been and will continue to be a busy week! We have been busy every night so far, and tonight we need to get an oil change on the car and clean up the house for company Thursday night. We are having Lindsey and Brian, Jeff, and Ladd over for drinks and to celebrate with Jeff because Jeff Quinn left Allied Waste finally!
Friday we need to pack for our anniversary trip. We will be celebrating our 2nd year married! We are going to a cabin at Crooked River Ranch for a few nights. We are really looking forward to just relaxing and spending time together.
Update on the car: we are still arguing over the settlement price. We returned the rental Friday, so now Travy is driving me to and from work and chiropractor appointments. I feel like we will close soon though, and then the car search is on! I will be glad when this insurance battle is over. I am not looking forward to having to settle on the medical claim. Hopefully we won't have to deal with Jesse, who is very difficult to even get ahold of and not helpful at all!
Well, have a good rest of the week!

Travis

Man, lately I find myself wondering a lot, “How did I get such an amazing husband?” Travis takes such good care of me. He makes me laugh, he listens to me when I am upset, and he knows the right things to say to calm me down. He is always there for me, and I never have any doubt that he loves me completely. He is my best friend, lover, and soul mate. How did I get so lucky? We work on our dreams together and we support each other. We have FUN together! Everyday is not wonderful, but I always know I can rely on Travis. I thank God everyday for bringing Travis into my life.
Travis, Thank you for being such a wonderful husband, man, and someday, father. Thank you for letting me lean on you when I am not strong enough. Thank you for holding me close when I need to be held, and giving me space when I need space. Thank you for communicating with me, and supporting me in my dreams. Thank you for envisioning the future with me, and working with me on making it what we want. Thank you for making me laugh, and keeping a smile on my face. Thank you for all the sacrifices you make everyday to do the right thing for me and for us. I love you so much and I feel so blessed to have you as my husband! I look forward to each day we spend together and I can’t wait for the next 70 years with you! I love you.

Monday AGAIN?!?!

Monday again! Wow, they are just coming so quickly these days. Trav and I had a good weekend. We didn't get a lot done, but every now and then I think thats ok! We were dog sitting for the Clark Sr's. It was nice because we were away from our house, so it kind-of gave us a little break.Anyway, Friday we had to run a few errands after work, but we headed to Corvallis at 6:30. We ordered pizza from Pizza Pipeline as we were heading out of Albany, so it would be ready when we got to Corvallis. We love Pizza Pipeline pizza! We had picked up a 5th of grape vodka to share, so we stopped at Fred Meyer to get a couple mixers. Then we went to get our pizza, and headed to the Clark Sr's house. Brian ended up having to work late, and after he got off work, he and Lindsey had to return something to Salem, so they had to cancel. Trav and I decided to have a cozy night...just the two of us, pizza, movies, and grape martini's. It was fun. We were pretty worn out from the long week, so we went to bed a little past midnight. We slept until noon, and I feel like I could have slept all day! I'm sure my body was catching up from the horrible sleep I got all week, but I still couldn't believe how tired I was!We got up Saturday, showered, and took the dog for a nice long walk. After the walk, we went to pick blueberries and get our fresh fruits and vegi's from the fruit stand. I am really going to miss the fresh fruits and veggies in the winter time! Anyway, after that, we went grocery shopping and then went back to our house to unload all our goods! We headed back to the Clarks Sr to take care of Buddy around 6. We had dinner and then left to meet Monika and JD at the Benton County Fair. We had fun just walking around and talking! We looked at the livestock, and spent a lot of time looking at the roosters and bunnies! They are SO cute. After the fair closed we all headed back to the Clark Sr's.We just enjoyed talking and laughing until a little after 1. They are not taking birth control......getting ready to have their 2nd child! How exciting!Sunday we ended up not going to Silver Falls..kind of a bummer, but we had a lot of house work, etc to do. So we got it all taken care of. It was a relaxing weekend. This week will NOT be relaxing, as we are getting ready for our camping trip this weekend. BUT, the camping will be very relaxing and make it all worth-while. I'm looking forward to "roughing it"I have really been thinking about starting a family lately...it feels like it's getting close to time.Travis is a wonderful husband and provider for our family....we are at a comfortable spot and I think we are getting close to taking the next step! It is exciting and a little scary to think about!!Well, have a good week! I will be trying to enjoy mine!!

Another Weekend is Here!

Man, I am so glad it's Friday. I have not been getting very good sleep for the past couple weeks, and it is really making a difference in everything!!
The weather here has been beautiful lately! I love having nice weather. I don't really like the temperature to go past 85 though! I know, I'm really picky.
This week has been a long one. I still don't know whats going on with my car insurance stuff. The adjuster conveniently went out of town Wednesday and won't be back until Monday.
We have been enjoying lots of bbq's lately! Last night we went to the Clarks Sr. for bbq'd salmon. Yummy! Jason and Amber (Trav's brother and sister in law) came down also. We found out that Amber is pregnant!
This weekend we are dog sitting for the Clark's. Tonight we are going to order Pizza Pipeline with Brian and Lindsey, and just veg out! Tomorrow we are going to the fair with Monika and JD, and Sunday I think we are going to Silver Creek Falls after we get our chores done. I am looking forward to it, because it sounds like it should be pretty relaxing!
Next weekend we are camping with our friend Ladd! I love camping so I'm pretty excited! Plus, I bought some bug spray for this trip!!
Have a good weekend everyone!!

Thank God for Travis

I'd like to give a shout out to my husband Travis. He has been handling all the insurance stuff lately, because it's been stressing me out so much! He has made all the calls, delt with all the pressure of the confrontation and arguments, and just been my back bone through this whole thing! I hate this process and without Travis I really don't think I would be able to stand up to these insurance people as much as we have.
Thanks baby for all your help and support! You have come SO far in the past few years, and grown into a WONDERFUL man, husband, support, and best friend.
Thank you!

Monday's

Well, it's Monday again! And this has been a crazy one!!We had a great weekend camping! We left right after work, and we even got off a little early! We got to the campground at 6pm, and we got our secret spot! We got there about 5 minutes after Air and K. We got the tents set up, and the food out and bbq'd hot dogs. Yum. After that, we got the fire started and sat back in our lawn chairs, sipping our drinks and chatting it up. We had a great night! We finally went to bed around 3am, and slept until 11am! Air and K had to go to a family reunion, so Trav and I got up, bbq'd hamburgers, chatted for a while, and then decided to take a nap. We slept for about an hour, and then decided to go check out the river. It was beautiful out. The sun was shining so it as nice and warm, but we weren't dying of heat! We walked in the river and went for a swim in the swimming hole for a couple hours. We came back up to camp at about 6 and Air and K had just gotten back. K was pretty excited to show Trav how to fish, so we headed back down to the river and fished for about an hour. Trav caught his first fish! It was pretty cool!We had fresh fish, and tacos for dinner. Yum! After dinner we just talked around the fire until about 2 and then went to bed. We woke up at about 11am again, and got packed up and ready to go home.Once home we did our normal Sunday chores....cleaned the house, went grocery shopping, and prepared for the week. We added in blueberry picking and a movie yesterday. :)Now it is Monday again, and back to reality. I am facing the fact that I have to deal with this insurance stuff! I am planning on calling my agent back today after my chiropractor appointment. I'm not looking forward to it.This week is already filled with plans! Thursday night we have dinner at Travs parents, and Friday - Sunday afternoon we are dog sitting at thier house. Friday theirht I think we are getting together with Lindsey and Brian. It would be great to see them! Saturday we are going to the fair with Monika and JD. We haven't seen them forever, so that should be lots of fun!I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Insurance

TGI almost F!! I am so ready for the weekend. I have had crappy sleep all week, and I'm just tired.
Tuesday night Trav and I went up to my parents house for a bbq. We had bbq'd steak, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, salad, and cantaloupe. It was SO yummy! We sat out on the deck and drank wine in the sunshine. It was a lot of fun!
Last night, Air came over while Trav worked on some logo sketches for a client. We had a good time hanging out! We used to hang out every week, just have a girls night. We haven't done that since Trav and I moved! We need to get back to it!
So I am getting SOO frustrated with the guy who hit me's insurance company! Last week they called with a weak offer. I could never get a decent replacement with it! So we told them it wasn't enough and that we couldn't find anything even close to that price that would replace it. They asked for us to fax over proof of the exact same car for sale in Oregon to see how much they are selling for. We spent hours on-line researching and could only find 2 cars that were the same year and style in Oregon. We faxed the info over, and they called back yesterday and said that "their sources" said the car should be $1000 less than the offer they originally gave me. I don't know who their "sources" are because obviously we didn't find that to be true! Thats just not reality! I am SOOO frustrated. This isn't my fault at all. I got hit, my car was totaled, I have headaches every day now, as well as back aches and neck aches, I have to spend hours a week in doctors offices, and they are making me feel like I'm the victim here.
I can't wait until this whole process is over! Hopefully it will end decently, and everything will work out. Thats what I'm praying for!

New week

I can’t believe it’s already Monday! The weeks go by fast, but the weekends go even faster! We had a good weekend, The Phil Vassar concert was a lot of fun!
Saturday we slept in until noon, and my mom called to ask us if we wanted to go to a wine tasting event at Willamette Valley Vineyards. We said yes, and got ready, but she called right after we finished getting ready and said she read the date wrong and it wasn’t Saturday. At least we were ready for the day! We decided to get our grocery shopping out of the way. We wanted to get fresh fruits and veggies, so we went to a little stand on hwy 34 to pick out local produce. We got tons of good stuff! Then, I wanted to go pick some fresh blueberries so Travis took me to Blueberry Meadows! I’ve never picked blueberries before, so it was a new experience. It was lots of fun! We picked a pound and ½ of big, sweet, juicy “Berkley” blueberries. We finished them last night though, so clearly we should have gotten more! They were such a good deal we will probably go there at least once a week!
We finished grocery shopping, stopped to get an iced coffee, and headed home. We brainstormed what to have for dinner, and talked to Lindsey and Brian a little. We decided to get together with them after dinner. We bbq’d chicken (yum) and made some pasta!
We headed over to the Holcomb’s at about 7:30. We haven’t seen them forever, so we were pretty excited! We had a really good time just talking, catching up, drinking wine, and laughing! Their neighbors came over after a while, and we had a good time meeting and hanging out with them. We headed home at 1 and went to bed.
Sunday we slept in again. When we got up, we decided it was a good day for a bike ride. We went for a good couple hours, just around town. It was fun. When we got home, we decided to be productive, and tackle a bunch of laundry and cleaning up the guest room! We got a lot done. We went out to Wilhelm’s for dinner, and ran a couple errands. When we got home we watched a little TV before bed.
Now it’s Monday again! A new week. We will probably get to go camping this weekend. I don’t want to get too excited…since we haven’t been able to go at all yet! I hope we can though!
My back has been pretty sore still….I am going back to the chiropractor today. I always feel better after I leave the chiropractor, but the next day it hurts again, and I always have a darn headache! Hopefully pretty soon I’ll be as good as new!

The weekend begins...

The weekend is here! Another week has flown by! They seem to keep going faster and faster!!
Travis and I went to the fair last night and tonight. After work we ran a couple errands, stopped by Robbie's house to see she and Becky and the baby! We stayed for a couple hours to catch up and drink some wine! It was a good time. We left at about 8 to get to the Phil Vassar concert. It had started sprinkling, so we weren't sure if we were going to go or not. We decided to go for it...and I'm really glad we did!
We had to wait until about 9 for the concert to start, but it was so good! I didn't realize how many songs he sings that I really like! It sprinkled on us through most of the concert, but it was pretty light. It made it more of an experience! :) It's been raining quite a bit the past week...which is pretty strange in late July!! I want the sunshine back!
Anyway, it did stop for about the last 1/2 hr. We really had a great time! We got home at about 10:45 and watched "Beerfest" which was ok.
I think we're off to a good start for the weekend! Tomorrow I'm not sure what we'll do....probably hit up the fair again!! Maybe go out to American Dream with Sparks! We haven't seen him for a while so it would be fun to catch up. We might get to see Brian and Lindsey who we haven't seen in a few weeks! And we may even run into Monika and JD at the fair if we go.
I'll fill you in on Monday! Have a good one!

Blessed

It's already Thursday! This week is going by very quickly! I can't believe it's already almost the weekend! This weekend we are going to the Linn County Fair for some good concerts! We may even go tonight!
I have gone to the chiropractor 2x already this week, and I will be going today after work as well. Today I am getting a massage. It sounds good, but it will probably hurt since my muscles are so sore!!
Tuesday Travis got CS3. We have been wanting to get it for him since he got out of school, but it is VERY expensive. We wanted to wait until he made the money through doing freelance work before we bought it. Of course, waiting would be harder for him, because whenever he was working on a project he would have to go to the school or his parents house to use their software.
He got a job offer a couple months ago that he really wanted to do. The client kept asking when he wanted to start it, and Travis said he didn't have the software to do it yet. The client offered to buy him the software package up front and have him work it off after. We couldn't have asked for more! That is exactly what we needed!! He he got it on Tuesday and has been playing around with it ever since! We had a business dinner with the client and his wife Tuesday evening also. It was fun brainstorming ideas and knowing that Travis can actually produce something now!!
That was a HUGE blessing. That got me thinking about life in general and how much we have been blessed! Of course there are things in life that aren't good to, but all in all, we really have been blessed. It's so nice to get up at 7 or 7:10 with my husband, get ready, and not have to leave my house until 7:50 to be to work on time! It's so nice to get to have lunch with my husband everyday....it's awesome to be home from work at 5:10! I have more energy to do the things in life that are important!
Not only that, but I have time at work, during the dead periods, to do things like e-mail my friends, and blog, and pay my bills! It's so nice to have that freedom! The people I work with are great! My days go by quickly, and I'm having fun!!
Travis' 1st year review is coming up in August....I know he's going to get a great one....I just hope for VERY good things! I know I'm setting my hopes and expectations to high, but I am so excited to see what comes out of it!
