Fall is here!

Well, it is officially fall and it certainly feels like it! The nights are cold, the mornings are freezing, and during the day it is sunny and warms up, but it is still very crisp out. I like it, but it reminds me that a long, cold winter is coming! I am looking forward to the holiday’s this year! I can’t wait to snuggle up in front of our new fireplace and sip hot coco! Not to mention how fun decorating the house for the first time will be! I always enjoy the holiday season!
Last weekend was a lot of fun! We wanted to relax, and we got to! Friday night Air and K came over at about 7. The boys drank beer while Air and I blended strawberry margaritas! Air was having a bad day, so after a few margaritas, we decided to go cosmic bowling with a group of friends. The boys didn’t want to go, so we got all dolled up and went without them! We met our friends at the bowling alley bar and got a couple drinks before starting the bowling. The boys had to come pick something up that they had left in the car we drove, so they showed up about 30 mins after we got there and ended up staying. We had a lot of fun drinking, dancing, and bowling our hearts out! We got home a little after 2, made some French toast, and crashed!
Saturday we slept in, which unfortunately didn’t help the hangover much! Then we just sat around and watched tv shows online until 7 when we ate and then headed to Airs to watch a movie. That night we went to bed at a decent hour!
Sunday we woke up at 9:30. We had heard good things about a church in North Albany and Air and K were checking it out, so we decided to go with them! It was good. The service doesn’t start until 11, and it gets out by 12:10! I think we’ll go back.
After church we went grocery shopping and got our chores done before settling in for more relaxing on the couch!
It was a good weekend.
Now it’s Monday and our week is already filling up. Tonight we have dinner at Trav’s parents after my chrio appointment, and then we are going to work out. Tomorrow we are having tacos at Airs! I know we need to have a meeting with Trav’s client, have dinner with my parents, and meet up with Lindsey and Brian this week to! And Friday we are getting together with our friend Monika!
Saturday, I am hoping we will go tailgate at the Beavers game with friends!
Well, that’s all for now! Have a great week!

TGIF!!! - Not!

I may sound a little bitter, because it's Thursday, but almost everyone I know is taking tomorrow off so it's Friday for them! I am stuck doing the normal Friday routine. Oh well, I won't complain! :)
Well, Travis had his 1 year review yesterday! It went very well. He got very high mark from everyone! Above Exceeds on several of the catagories, and Exceeds on everything else! I am so stinking proud of him! He has only been in the "field" for one year and he is going above and beyond! His boss had only good things to say about him. He has taken the online department so far in the past year! He got a $1.50 raise, and he already got $1 raise after he'd been there for 6 months (which is not something they normally do) so in a year he has already gotten $2.50 in raises!
I am so proud of him....I know this is just the beginning, but it shows how dedicated and how good he is at his job! He is very smart and so business minded!
Travis, keep up the good work! You are an amazing man and I am so proud of you! I love you very much!

Other than that not a whole lot has been going on. This week everyone went on vacation except Scott and I, so we have been running the place alone! It's gone very well! I'm glad the week is coming to a close. We don't have any huge weekend plans, but I'm SO happy for that! We want to get some yard work done...to get ready for the fall and winter, and do some serious relaxing! Air started day shift at the hospital on Tuesday and I already love her new schedule! Yay Air!
Have a great day!

Beavers Game!!

Monday again! It's almost like the weekends don't even happen...they go by so quickly!
Friday my friend Monika came over. We were really close in HS, and she was my first roommate! She came over around 8, and we had some beers and just caught up on life. Poor Monika is going through a separation with her husband of 5 years. I hope they will be able to work things out in the end. We had a lot of fun though! Stayed up until 3:30, talking, playing games, and laughing!
Saturday we woke up at 9am, not feeling to great with such little sleep after so many beers! The hangover was pretty harsh! We just sat around in our PJ's until about 11 when we decided to get ready for the Beavers Game! We got to Avery Park at almost 1, with our portable bbq, hotdogs, chairs, and cooler full of beer! We had a great time just relaxing in the sun, sitting back enjoying all the lively Beavers spirit around us! We headed to the game at 3, since it started at 3:30 and we had a little walk in front of us! The game was awesome! The Beavers scored like 9 touchdowns!! We were cheering like crazy!
That evening we went over to my parents and hung out until midnight.
Sunday we slept in a little, to recover! Lots of beer had been drank since Friday! We got our chores and grocery shopping done, and then headed over to Air's for a celebration!! She worked her last graveyard shift on Sunday morning!! She starts her new day shift position Tuesday! We are really excited to get her on our schedule!!
I took my new car to my mechanic so he could look it over and service it. He said it looks really good, like it's been well cared for! It has new tires and new brakes, so thats good news! It did need the water pump replaced, and a new belt, and with the service and everything added up to $350. But I'm glad it's all taken care of and I know it's a good car!
This weekend Trav and I are going to work in the yard to get it in order for the fall! It's nice to have a free weekend! It has been a very busy year!
Thats all for now! Have a great week!

What a weekend!

It's Monday again! Wow, they come back so quickly!
Trav and I had a lot of fun over the weekend! Friday we went over to Air and K's and played games, had a fire, and drank some drinks. We had a really good time! We crashed at about 2am. We slept in until 11 the next morning, and eventually got up to eat some eggs and sausage. We said goodbye to Air and K and decided we should do our "Sunday" chores, since we knew we were going to be in Portland on Sunday. So we went to Rays to get our fresh fruits and veggies, and then hit Fred Meyer to pick up our other groceries. We have been wanting a relaxing weekend, so when we got home and cleaned up the house, we decided it would be a great evening to settle in and watch movies! It was so nice to have a relaxing evening.
The alarm went off at 7am, so it felt like a work day when we had to get up! We are so used to sleeping in on the weekends, it was hard to get up so early! The Clarks Sr. arrived to pick us up at 8:30am and we headed to Jason and Ambers up in Portland. We were on our way to the Bodyworlds 3 show at OMSI.
We made a pit stop at IKEA before going to OMSI. It was much different than I pictured it. There were a LOT of people there, which made it very crowded. I think I would like to check it out at least once more, when I have more time and hopefully there won't be as many people there! It is HUGE, 2 stories and just stuffed full of stuff. On the top level they have whole rooms set up with a list of what is in there in the room, so if you want you can just buy the whole room, or just buy the parts you like out of it. That was pretty cool.
The Bodyworlds 3 exhibit was very interesting. I'm not much into watching the surgeries and stuff on TV, and I was interested to see how this was done, but I knew I may not be able to handle it for long. It is amazing how many parts there are in the human body to make it work. Trav and I walked through pretty quickly. It was very crowded in there as well, and I was pretty sick of crowds at that point! The rest of the family was still wandering through, so we went out on the waterfront and soaked in the sun rays. It was a very nice afternoon. We went for a walk along the waterfront before heading back in to see if the rest of our group had made it out! Travis had woken up with a sore throat, that I had on Saturday night but seemed to be gone on Sunday. He wasn't feeling to great by the end of the day. We were both tired and fell asleep on the drive home. Once home we just relaxed a little more and went to bed early. Trav really wasn't feeling great. Poor guy.
This morning we got up and showered, and Trav really didn't sound good. I told him he should call in so he could rest today and hopefully catch this bug before it really takes over. I hope he is feeling better soon!
This Saturday we get to go to a BEAVERS GAME!!! YEAH! We are really excited. It's a lot of fun to go to the games. We are going to make a day of it....tailgate for a good part of the day before it and party it up after! Whether we win or lose! I hope we win though!
Alright, I've babbled on and on enough! This was a pretty boring post!
Happy Monday! Hopefully this week will go by fast and the weekend will be here again in no time!

New Car

Happy Hump day!

Travis and I had a very eventful weekend!

Friday evening Lindsey and Brian came over to our house. We watched a silly movie, that turned out to be pretty funny, and just had a good time catching up!
Saturday, Trav and I went to the state fair. We went in the early afternoon so we could spend most of the day there. There's just so much to do! We checked out all the booths and then went up to the beer garden to relax a little before going to the Chris Daughtry concert. We had some dinner and watched a show before heading to the concert, and of course got our pictures taken in one of the photo booths, which we do every time we go to the state fair! It's fun to see how we've changed over the years!

The Daughtry concert was awesome. It was packed out! I don't think there was an empty seat in the place. He was very good! Chris is the man! :)

Sunday we made a day trip to the beach! I always love going to the beach. We usually don't do much. We just wonder around Newport, visit all the little shops on the bay, go to Mo's and lay on the beach! I don't know why, but it is always so much fun, and so relaxing! This trip was especially fun because the weather was perfect! Sunny and 75, not even any wind! We went on the beach right when we got there, and once we got to the water we realized we were hungry, so we decided to walk to Mo's, since we were so close to the bay and it was so nice out. We ate a great meal...I even went out on a limb and got the fish sandwhich with chowder instead of my normal cannonball chowder bowl.

After we ate we walked along the bay, stopped at Aunt Belindas to get some taffy and candies, and one last stop at the market to get a 6 pack of Mikes before heading back to the beach.

When we got back to the beach, we set up our chairs right in front of the water, cracked open a cold one and just relaxed in the sun for the rest of the afternoon! It was a great day.

Monday we got up a little earlier than I like to on holidays, but we were on a mission! We got to my parents at 10 and from there we all headed to Portland in search of a car. And we found one! I got a 2000 Chevy Malibu LS. It's a 4 door automatic sedan. It only has 75000 miles, so I think it will last me for a good while and it will be a good family car when that becomes an issue! It is is excellent condition and only had one owner before me! I got it for only $1000 over the settlement I got on my totaled car. All in all, I think it worked out for the best. I was going to have to replace the exhaust system on my Mazda the week it was totaled, which was going to cost $800, so I would have had to spend that much anyway.
I just hope this turns out to be a reliable car with no issues other than normal wear and tear type things! It's nice to be able to drive myself around again.
Anyway, it's already Wednesday so only 2 more days until the weekend! Yay!
Have a good rest of the week!
